Me Time...?

Morning, my dear Coffee (and Tea) friend☕🍵,

I hope you had a fantastic week and succeeded in taking full ownership of at least one thing this past week. I agree with Angela van Rooyen's comment on my post last week that we need some outside influence to assist us in succeeding. She suggested you join a walking club if you want to succeed in exercise. This is so true.

My son battled to keep to his exercise regime and asked if I could be his accountability partner, and he has not missed one day of exercise since. I got an accountability partner for my healthy eating program, and it works. Yay!! Now, I also need to get an accountability partner for my exercise. Any takers?

Why am I sharing all of this?

While it is important to take full ownership of our lives and analyse the lies that we sometimes tell ourselves (and believe), we also need to be kind and gentle to ourselves (and once again, I am talking to myself).

We all want to be the perfect manager, parent, partner, and friend, but we sometimes forget that we are also human. We sometimes forget that …” only being”…is sometimes also OK.

We tend to be so caught up in being perfect and a role model that “just being” does not sound so cool.

What are you going to do this coming week to be kind and gentle to yourself? How are you going to show some self-love?

I commit to reloading my batteries this week by watching a romantic movie while I crochet. Having my thoughts while I watch the crochet needle move at a constant pace assists me in creating structure and order for all the thoughts in my mind. This is how I am kind and gentle to myself.

What are you going to do in this coming week to make time for some self-love? I would love to hear from you.

Enjoy your CUPPA,☕🍵my lovely friend, and remember to be kind to yourself.
